He gave me a bunch of Yu-Gi-Oh cards a few years later, a lot of Japanese holos. Probably out of guilt. He still comes up here occasionally, apparently he has a girlfriend a bunch of kids, despite being rather young.

I'm so glad I was on a forum around the time Diamond and Pearl came out. If it wasn't for that influence, I probably would have never picked the games (or the stuff in general from my childhood) up again.
