At what point is this thing not the flower? In its previous evolutions, no, it wasn't the flower, your claim would hold true, but by the time you're at this point, I think what you're saying has lost its weight..

Aren't they mainly for moves that were TMs that Pokemon learned in old games but aren't TMs anymore?

It would've been so simple to give it Dazzling Gleam and Solar Beam.

Guarding the flower to the point of living inside of it/using it as clothing in its final evolution is more than enough justification for it being grass type. You might as well say that Charizard shouldn't be fire type because the fire isn't part of its body, it's just on the tail.

Since its a basilisk/jesus lizard it actually makes sense for it to know Surf.

GameFreak was genius enough to put a semi-aquatic lizard in the middle of the desert and have it be electric and feed off the sun.

You do realize that there aren't even alot of Fairy moves to give out at the moment.

Though grass seems to be some theme with Faries, Florges REALLY should be part grass type, its ability for fucks sake benefits grass Pokemon ontop of having a large grass movepool.

Oh well its WAY better off not being grass type as well

That's a mistake on their part. It learned whatever TM51 was in GenV, and they forgot to remove it from Beeheeyem when they changed TM51 to Steel Wing
