We'd get something to do with Kanto or Hoenn on the 16th anniversary. Johto had its time in HG SS and Kanto has been getting all the pandering recently so I'd say it's Hoenn's turn to get some attention around then. Maybe not remakes or sequels even though that would be nice, but they'd probably celebrate by giving away a Jirachi and air some remastered movies from the Advanced generation.

As for X and Y, I'm really hoping that a Nintendo Direct will announce the X and Y sequels but rather than having to buy them all over again, we should be able to download the extra content from the sequels on the eshop. For example, if they announce Z, it would be just like X and Y but with more clothes and some expanded story that occurs post game such as a new area that we don't know about so instead of having to buy this remake, we could be able to download the content that isn't on X and Y from the eshop which includes a bundle that gives us the content from Z as a cheaper alternative than buying another whole game. Probably won't happen, but it's a dream.
