Friend Safari Shinies

Has there been any evidence of a pattern or ratio for finding shinies in the safari besides saying Safari A is different than Safari B is different than Safari C...and so on?

It's the same as anywhere else. Shinies are more common this gen, and you spend more time in the Safari than anywhere else.

My friend thinks it's because of the guaranteed 2 max IV thing. So the range of available PIDs is smaller, thusly increasing the chances that a PID with your specific shiny ID will pop up?

But I have no idea what I'm talking about. Also I think PIDs aren't exactly related to shininess anymore.
