Don't forget you only hear about <=10 box shiny stories because after 10 boxes people usually give up, and if they start again for another mon they conpletely forget they already rolled for 10 boxes befores so if it hatches fast it will be only "the tries of that opke" instead of "the tries of that poke + the failed other one" that will be presented to you.

Currently doing something like a box per hour, doing 5 by 5, I was wondering if I could improve it.
filling boxes with eggs seems like a gamble if you get a shiny in the first egg, and it means doing twice as much computer interaction. so I'm not really sure it's profitable at least for pokes with decent hatching speed.

i mostly get 5-6ivs. but got unlucky with this one. Im using 5iv raticate (leveled him up so he won't loose his Flame Wheel during leveluping in daycare) and 6iv ditto.
The speed is mostly what i care about.

He's not, you're only guaranteed a 5IV mon if both parents are 6IV. If one is 5 and the other is 6, the mon could inherit the non-perfect stat of the 5IV, and get the random stat in another = the occasional 4IV. Sadly
