After the 15th box of breedings without a shiny, I decided to take a better look at the 6IV JPN Ditto I received from a Shiny Squirtle.
Was I scammed on the language? OT has english characters and is a 6-letter name (both impossible for a jap, since this Ditto came from Unova). However, language shows as JPN.
Is it just bad luck, or this Ditto can't Masuda?

If you're MMing why bother breeding with a Ditto? Just breed up two perfect parents and enjoy the higher egg rate.

It's a shitty hack because someone changed the OT. However, MM goes by language, and it has the JP language marker. So, it probably should still work. You're just having shit luck.

By having a second copy of the game set to another language. That's how I MM. Second games over 100 hours from me making hex parents to MM for the main game. I got a bike, and that's about how far progress wise that game is.

Oval charm isn't even fucking in gen 6, and why would you even need it considering it takes 10-20 seconds for a pair of pokemon to make an egg?

I am playing x in spanish because I know enough spanish to bullshit my way through the game and I can generally tell what moves are which, if I have doubt I just use google translate. I havent gotten past the fairy gym because I have been more focused on trying to finish the kalos dex in Y and get a bunch of pokemon that I could build into a team.
