So I have a team consisting of my favourites Peliper, Cofagrigus, Clamperl, Galvantula, Rampardos and Drifblim. Unfortunately it's a OU team because of Galvantula. Peliper, Cofagrigus, Clamperl and most of the time Galvantula are pretty reliable and work well. Especially Peliper and Cofagrigus. However Rampardos and Drifblim feel like deadweights. Rampardos only occasionally nabs a kill and wall breaks. And i feel like Drifblim is really weak without the flying gem. Can i get some tips on how to use these two at an OU level. Running Rampardos with a wall breaking set relying on assault vest and HP to stay alive. Using Drifblim with weakness policy. But i find it'll just keep dying.

>>17404777 If you're still learning the ropes then 252 / 252 spreads are fine to start with. Once you git gud, people usually spread out EVs to survive certain threats, like put in just enough SpD EVs to turn a 2HKO into a 3HKO, just enough Spe to outrun X pokemon, that sort of thing.
Also if you have a pokemon who's 4x weak to SR, make sure their HP is an odd number so they can switch into it three times due to rounding.

>>17405228 Careful if you want it to be a general wall. Impish if you want it to take physical attacks mostly. I'm not entirely sure about Evs but for the Moveset you could use
Earthquake
Yawn/Whirlwind
Slack Off
Sneaky Pebbles/ Ice Fang
Yawn and whirlwind depend on whether you have sleep on your team or not. If you have Stealth Rock already then you could take Ice Fang.
>>17405447 Mostly as a backup in case Togekiss faints. But the more I'm looking at it the more I think Togekiss/Tyranitar would be better. Mostly because I want to see if it would work though.

I didn't realise you were new, lol, mind if I give you a little advice on your sets? I'm a bit more experienced with this.>Scizor Adamant is probably okay, or whatever +Spdef -Spatk is. I hope you meant Technician and not Huge Power.>Azumarill I can't advise you much on this one as this seems to have sprung up recently in the meta. I can tell you not to put EVs in speed because they're never going to get used. Put it into a Defense instead.>Alakazam Cut it, even its mega isn't that good.>Delphox Cut it, Fire-types should never try to be Bulky. >Salamence >Adamant >Fly >Intimidate Not even once. Try Jolly, Moxie and anything other than Fly.>Blaziken Looks like a Choice set. That's not really what Blaziken does, unless you want to choice band it rather than scarf it but then you're relying on it not dying in one hit.

So I finally got around to getting a 3DS and Pokemon Y. I hate Helioptile, but his learnset is dicks apparently and he sucks. Also I've got Kangaskhan, Mareep, and Snorlax also in the PC, thought about putting Venusaur away for a bit or Lucario and getting out Kangaskhan. Also one more thing, is Sandile the only dark Pokemon I can use to evolve my Pancham? Because he's Lv. 29 already.

>>17404725 If you're going Bulky Swords Dance I'd make that your mega otherwise I'd slap a choice item or a life orb if you're that set on using swords dance.
If you're not using a choice band on Scizor then I'd put it on Azumarill with 252 attack and speed I think.
Play Rough
Ice Punch/ Superpower
Waterfall
Aqua Jet/ Ice Punch/ Superpower
Alakazam should have a focus sash and magic guard with 252 sp atk and speed with 4 in Hp
Modest/Timid
Psyshock
Focus Blast
then 2 other coverage moves or substitute
Salamance should be Jolly with Moxie
252 attack and speed
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw/ Outrage
Earthquake
Aqua Tail/ Fire Blast
If you're using Fire Blast I'd use a naive or hasty nature so it won't be weaker
Blaziken
Adamant
252 in attack and Speed
Swords Dance
Protect
Flare Blitz
High Jump Kick/ ThunderPunch/ Earthquake
You don't have to use protect but its a guaranteed speed boost.
I'm not entirely sure if theres any obvious weaknesses to certain pokemon or walls but its a good start. On certain pokemon like Alakazam theres really no reason to be putting special defence evs on it since it'll die to a stiff breeze.
>>17405906 If you don't mind I'll take a totodile off your hands unless you have anything else you're giving away in which I'll see what you have.

>>17412590 Ideally a rest/talk/boost set should have its attacking move be something that no type is immune to. As soon as your opponent realises you only have return, most will have a ghost they can use to throw away all your boosts
Espeon over Vaporeon is a good call, if only for Magic Bounce; right now you have nothing against entry hazards, and none yourself, so that could be handy
Dragon Rush really isn't a great move. In fact, I would change one of your dragon moves for coverage (Stone Edge, Fire Fang, I think it might get Aqua Tail).
The five you have don't have any glaring shared weakness type-wise, but I would always suggest having something with priority on your team, for a start.
Also, I can't think of any reason 0SAtk helps.

I think I'll choose Espeon over Vaporeon or get Scolipede with Spikes on my team.
Aqua Tail isn't unfortunately available in XY but I think Fire Fang will do. (Also I use 0SAtk only to mark which IVs do not need to be maxed out.)

>>17413481 You should always think about the team as whole when building your team. When you have come up with a strategy, then you start choosing what Pokemon to use, what movesets, and etc. Do not start with one Pokemon ready and then start thinking what to add to your team
Build your team around your strategy, a goal that you approach when using that team. No Pokemon is good on it's own, it needs well planned team around it.
If you still want to use Tyranitar, look up some Rock, Steel and Ground types for your team and make sure you can defend yourself against grass and water types for example.
