Metagross does not get a mega evolution.
It's a mix of both of those.
Some new megas involve:
Mega Luxray, which has a huge attack bonus and Moxie.
Mega Klinklang, which has Skill Link (as well as a new Electric attack which hits up to 5 times)
Mega Golem which becomes pure Rock and has Solid Rock
Mega Kingdra which has a new ability that makes not very effective moves neutral.
