If you need your speed boost, you just slap on protect, and open with it, and your golden.
If you need trick room, that means one of two things:
You're in singles, so you have to go, bring in your trick roomer, take the turn to set up trick room, spend a turn bringing in the trick room sweeper (into oncoming attacks), then only getting to sweep for 4 turns after that if you didn't already die.
And that's not mentioning that you NEED to do this every time you want to sweep with a trick room sweeper, and if your trick room setter dies, then you're just fucked in that regard.
Mawile's shit in doubles is ENTIRELY about getting in that intimidate for a plausible safe switch and maybe cripple, then mega evolving all while your opponent needs a switch to deal with it.
Ampharos at least has the ability to agility sweep, though that's still pretty bad. But yeh, there's a big difference between having 80 speed and being able to ensure safely getting to top speed and needing to do risky jumps through hoops to become viable. Blaziken can switch out with minimal losses, others can not.
