Yeah, they'll just switch out after they wisp you (95% of the time they'll do that, because you can't really do anything to it,) unless you use Infestation, a trapping move. With a Grip Claw, Infestation will trap anything for eight turns, and do damage. Add Toxic onto that and you have a dead washing machine.

My Espeon has max bulk and speed so I don't expect it to win any awards for most kills in a battle but it does a damn good support job.
