>>17425951Following with that i said, The real problem is that they may be worrying about another server downtime, due to STILL being hosted on the main server, just because it's cheaper for them to have just one set of servers being multi-purpose. The bigger problem with that is that they won't be experimenting just 4m+ traffic, they will experiment much more traffic due to being worldwide.
Remember when they were hiring a person for networking IT and multi-whatever-it-was-said expertise before December ended? This is the reason. No, they didn't fired anyone...yet. If my gut feeling is correct, Nintendo still tries to force PokeBank to run on their main server, but they want it to work causing less server stress, which is why they got another person to double-check and program a better network function; this, however, is a poor decision made on the worst case scenario, just to spare some necessary expenses, and if they're really doing that cheap shot, they're fucking idiots.
There are two obvious solutions that they need/ will end implementing:
-Complete Server separation, by acquiring new and better servers, dedcated servers at the very least, which could be perfect for cloud storage and backup of other servers (if they wish) OR
-PokeBank and Transfer overhaul to become local storage
If by January there isn't any news on it, fear that they're doing the cheap shot; expect the exact same scenario of december and grab PokeBank/Transfer as soon as you can.
If only THEY could understand the issue they have gotten into...
