This might seem like a moronic thing to ask, but if I pair a Pokemon from my game with a JPN ditto it'll activate the Masuda method, right?
The reason I'm inquiring into this is: I was breeding for a shiny Espurr for two weeks straight (over 1,5k eggs in total) with no luck at all ~BUT THEN~ decided to take a break to work on my dex, grabbed a Spanish Breloom from the GTS, tossed it into the daycare to get Shroomish's entry, had it produce one egg with the same ditto I used for Espurrs and a fucking shiny pops out.
Does pairing two foreign Pokemon instead of local/foreign increase the shiny chance somehow or was it just an (un)lucky coincidence?
