Does anyone else dislike how Arceus is handled in Pokémon lore? I think the fact that the god of all Pokémon can be caught by a puny human kind of undermines its power. Also, how the hell does he have data in the dex? Why is he placed randomly in the middle of it? Fucking why Game Freak?

Here's how I would have handled it
>Arceus is referenced by name a few times in every game. "I swear to Arceus" etc.
>It's acknowledged he is a Pokémon, but no-one knows what he looks like.
>Silhouette may be revealed from time to time in dreams or statues etc.
>This way, you have an explanation for the creation of all Pokémon, yet you have a legendary so powerful it hasn't been caught or seen. Therefore preserving the sheer awe that a Pokémon god would have in the universe.
