So I'm fully aware on how to EV train in XY.

But something I've never know how to do - How do you check IVs of just-hatched Pokemon? How do you check IVs at all? I've never bothered to train my Pokemon in the "correct" way, but I'd like to have a really awesome competitive team with great IVs/perfectly trained EVs.
