I think that instead of trying the poke, they should try to fix its main issue, aka the type. remove ice vulnerability to fighting, make it SE on water. remove rock vulnerability to water.
suddenly it has a way brighter future.

There, he may not be fast enough to sweep, but that should give him enough raw HP to survive a few hits. It makes sense for Exploud to be a slow bulky tank that blows shit up, and I don't think there's much that would survive a STAB Boomburst off 120 base SpA. Especially not after you factor in Scrappy.

Normal isn't even bad though. Being weak to fighting sucks but an immunity to ghost is absolutely fantastic, especially in gen 6. Being neutral to everything else is a mixed blessing.
Normal type isn't the best but it's not bad either.

It just hits everything neutrally except ghost rock and steel which are weak to it.
Inverse Steel is the new ice type, rock is still just as weak defensively as ever, and ghost is also weak to the horrors known as inverse bug and poison.
Defensively it's weak to ghost and resists fighting.
If anything I'd say inverse meta would be Choice Specs Sludge Bomb: The Game.

I'm not asking for much. I dont need any sort of cheap ability or satanic stats to be happy really. All I want is either better HP or Better Special attack really. So I can either take a hit or 2 or even maybe hit something slightly hard before im knocked out in the next turn.

Why is the fucking Special Attack so high? This is a purely physical Pokémon. Knock the fucking Special Attack down to 10, make the speed 110 and the Special Defense 79. Now he can outspeed most threats. One Dragon Dance makes him a god.
