Guys, I just beat the eighth gym leader in Pokemon X and I just don't know where to start in this /vp/ community. I want to trade, breed, battle, etc. Help a new comer out?

Go beat the E4, then you can check IVs in game.

If it's just trading, learn how to breed with Destiny Knot and find threads where people trade.

Just be aware that most sensible people on this board are waiting for Pokemon Bank where even will proceed to Pokegen their Pokemon, so breeding will pretty much be dead.
