It's like Gamefreak hired a writer from Toei to write X/Y's main plot.

Not really, I liked the little plot but I also loved the XY plot.
I never played BW1 though, so I don't know the best of storytelling in pokemon.

Yeah GF wishes they could ruin a character with massive potential like 02 did with Ken.

Also the genius behind the greatest season of Digimon, Tamers, was the head writer of Lain and not some Toei hack.
