Satan was suppose to be a higher ranking angel, he's crime was giving knowledge to humanity by getting Eve to eat the fruit of knowledge
Compare that to an oppressive dictator, lets say they have a high ranking officer who has discovered terrible secrets, that officer would try to leak that information to the public, in Satans case he gave all the information needed
Satan was banashed and tortured, we don't know his point of view and why he did it, he's painted as the biggest evil in the world
Exact same thing a dictator would do, the people aren't going to be ever hear that persons reasons and he will be painted as committing treason with no evidence
