First time I tried doing MM, I was breeding for a Gastly

I hit over 1000 eggs beofre I just gave up.

I have one of those 6 IV Jap dittos though so maybe one of my breeding projects will end up a shiny.

This is completely false.

The shiny charm does NOT affect breeding, while the new MM rate is rumored to be 1/800 because they halved the shiny rate in general for everything.

That what happen to me, I looked away from my game, and next I knew, I ran into the grass, and pops out a shiny Floatzel.

Took me 5 boxes before I went to Instacheck threads, got a dickload of Ralts and Duskulls, and went to trading them on this board for better, penta Shinies, and gifting them to irl friends who recently got 3DSes.

That's exactly what I do. But it's time-consuming depositing the newly hatched offspring to make room for the new egg. Not very time-consuming but then you also have to withdraw the parents from the daycare, all for one egg.

I keep 3 eggs on me at a time, until i get five then i deposit 2, keep doing that until i have about four-five boxes filled, some eggs will hatch during that time as well, and then when i have a few boxes i hatch them all at lumiose before i got back.

Who said I didn't? What I mean is I keep three eggs on me, when i get Five i put two of those eggs in the box, so i can pick up two more eggs, deposit those, etc, and fill boxes with eggs. Three eggs are still with me so they'll eventually hatch and i'll swap those eggs out for different ones as and when, and when i get a buggerton of egg si'll hatch them all in one fell swoop.

I have 3 DS's so I MM on all three of them. It took me a while to learn how to multi-task (collecting eggs, pushing 3 bikes up road at once ect) but once I mastered it, I've earned a shiny in 1-3 days each time. A shiny has yet to hatch on my main game though.. so my autism gets hurt when they don't have my OT ;_;

If you're trying to hatch that sixth egg you have to withdraw the parents or else it will keep generating eggs while you hatch.

This is only relevant when you're checking each child for IVs. Once I have my parents perfected my method is much different (hatch 5 then soft reset).

I didn't keep count while hatching Rotom yesterday, but I had a Rotom with perfect everything but attack and a Japanese Ditto with perfect defenses. I filled up half a box with 4IV Rotom, after I got the parent, and the average amount of 4IV rotom being hatched was one out of five, so I'd say around 150.

It has perfect HP, Sp,D, and Speed, and has Modest.
