Shiny Charm owner here.
I started by compiling a list of everything I could catch in game, I called it list A, then a list of everything I needed to trade to get, list B, then a list of stuff I needed to breed to get, list C, and finally a list I had to evolve to get, list D.
I proceeded to travel through the entire Kalos and catching everything I needed. I filled the entire A list on my pokedex.
For list B, I tried the GTS several times and then recurred to /vp/.
For list C, pretty much get all parent I needed for breeding, incenses and shit and a Ditto (because it's faster this way), day care, bike, get all eggs, hatch them on Lumiose with talonflame and hatching power.
To complete the final list, D, I started by doing te level up pokémon - Le Wow restaurant, lucky eggs, experience power, exp. share, rotation battles with a [very] strong pokémon as lead and 5 other mons you need to level up. Try to get the battles done in the correct timing since it can help you get a lot richer.
For stone evolutions, buy the elemental ones in the lumiose store (now's where that money becomes valuable) and the other stones use either the secret super training OR that new minigame in the global link (make sure you have A LOT of pokemiles for that).
For held items level up the daily battle with Serena or strong pokémon in the end of the victory road can help you. Get the items in the minigame said above or the battle Maison.
Finally, trade evos. Get someone you can trust to help you. I used wifigeneral and offered pokémon with good IVs to who helped me, it went all right.
The only thing left are pokebank legendaries - either take the long way, which is try to get lucky and find a good deal in the GTS, or just go the short way, the "jewing" method.
It takes a while to do but it's pretty cool and easier than last gens since Kalos has a lot of wild pokémon available. Good luck and feel free to ask me anything!
