Back to pokemon, I do agree that the physical/special split was a bretty gud change. My only gripe is it took them until gen4 to get that concept? Another thing I liked was the abilities added in gen3. However I still have a gripe with the abilities in the way that they don't give each mon more I guess personality. I can't find the right word for it but from the streams I watched of X/Y it still appears to me that the mons are nothing more then mere pallet swaps coated with slight changes. I would have liked to seen the games do far more with ability. For example:
Hypno is the hypnosis pokemon. So why not add more personality to hypno besides him having one ability? Why not make it so that hypno can use hypnosis better then other pokemon can? Why not make him have a stronger dream eater?
From what I have seen pokemon like magneton are always levitating yet it doesn't have that ability while koffing does? Why not allow the pokemon to have more then one ability? Why not make it so that certain things they can do much better? Pokemon seems to not really go out making them that much more unique at all. They do but not enough of it imo. Which is why some fags on /v/ probably still bash the new ones so much. They see them as copying the old ones and doing so an in even worst way.
Maybe all steel and rock types should just be more defensive while if a pokemon touches something like muk it will get poisoned. Since you know he is a poison type and I could swear his description even mentions he is toxic to touch. So make him poisonous to touch if a pokemon tackles him.
I don't even want to hear that balance nonsense when many pokemon don't have a mega form.
So yes the games never changed much in the way I thought they should have. They did the bare minimum making each cool monster unique.
