I am thinking about scarfing a future one, I've always run Substitute/Encore/Toxic/Close Combat with relatively good results.

Primeape, though outshined by Infernape and Mienshao, does have some perks to him. A slightly stronger Close Combat than Infernape, which is just about it.

105 Attack and 95 Speed are really the only things he has going for him in terms of stats.

Although Primeape is my favorite fighter,damn. I wish he had something that he could do better than the other two, or at least got a new ability other than Defiant.

Though I might start abusing Defiant if Sticky Web becomes more used. Scarf him and send him in.

Do you just scarf your Ape to outrun threats, with the vanilla set of Close Combat, Stone Edge, U-Turn, and (well hey there Nightslash, I'll put you here now).

Or does anyone have any interest in Close Combat/Encore/Toxic/Sub to mess with the larger variety of threats not named Gengar or Aegislash.

or maybe you guys wanna crithax with Focus Energy and Scope Lens, and abuse Cross Miss, Stone Miss, and Nightslash/U-Turn?

There were a very few discussions about throwing Primeape into Ubers, or atleast one mention of him trying to make it as a Choice Scarfing Vital Spirited Darkrai Puncher.

It can't be put to sleep and can switch in and OHKO it with Close Combat. Most teams that wanted a dedicated Darkrai counter mulled over the idea of letting a Scarfed 105 base Close Combat or U-Turn to come in and threaten. Stone Miss and his newly gained Nightslash wouldn't hurt either.
