Why is everything in the Pokemon all ABOUT pokemon? Seriously, I know that sthe name of the franchise, but picture if you were born in the Pokemon world. You go to school. The only thing you learn is "How to befriend a Pokemon", "Pokemon Types" and what not. What about ABC's and 123's? What about History and Science and English classes? How was your fucking town founded? Where are the HUMAN hospitals and the HUMAN food supermarkets?
I'm sure in the Pokemon world, there is more to life than bullshit creatures who can do impossibly weird, dangerous and illogical stuff (inb4 cartoon)
Pokemon can also destroy civilization if they wanted to with their powers. There's no stopping them, so that's probably why people treat them like their overlords. To avoid getting destroyed by them.
