Nintendo, Gamefreak and TPCi have no more than a mere week before a real damage to the image of the franchise is done. There will be a severe backlash effect from fans, but principally, the trust the had for the game and Nintendo in general will be severed (i wouldn't blame them, this is a serious matter along the severe losses registered in the Video Game market in general, yet Nintendo of Japan acts deaf for who knows what the fuck kind of reasons)
And in my honest opinion, this is something that had to be available and running without errors SINCE THE RELEASE; i would had liked that they never thought of doing cloud storage if they weren't decided to have dedicated servers for that sole purpose. People have some very valid reasons to be mad, but that may be my opinion.
