How can you call yourself a fan of Pokemon and hate on Gen 1? I'm not saying it's a better gen than any other, or that the games are any better, but Gen 1 gave us a shit load of amazing and memorable mons. Yet /vp/ hates it so much.

Gen 1 is terribly designed and buggy as hell. Pokemon didn't get better until gen 5.

I know the games aren't great but keep in mind of the time it came out. That's like hating early Godzilla because it looks so bad. Gen 1 still has a lot of great Pokemon

If anything Gen 1 being the worst is just natural--- but not by far. It was the start and set a standard. If anything truly hate worthy is ignorant genwunners, they praise Gen 1 without a reason that isn't

I think that gen two had the best Pokemon designs. I think that gen three brought more depth to game mechanics. I think that gen four was pretty great. I think that HA are pretty sweet. And X/Y made things so much fucking easier. Genwunners are fucking retarded.
