Round 2 loss: Didn't know how to deal with CharY+Venusaur properly, ended up dying to them double protecting and venu tanking my mence fire blasts. (I made up for this later by beating a very similar team by using the appropriate counter-strategy of M-Khan and Trick Room Reuniclus)
Round 3: Lost to creaming intensifies because I completely gonked up my reading of what his klefki could do. I quick guard, it light screens, he survives my fire blast with a sliver of health. Next turn I quick guard again expecting that t-wave and get second screen set up. His slurpuff is stacked. I kill the rest of his team but eventually lose to him outstalling in the 1v1.
Round 8: play against Huy from nugget bridge. He calls all my plays and beats me soundly, as to be expected.
Round 9: Lose to a combination of:
-Successful hypnosis t2 after t1 double protect
-Crit sucker punch from a -1 mawile killing reuniclus
-Hydro Pump lowrolling and leaving his rotom-h with a sliver of health
-Will-O-Wisp missing, letting sharp kill kanga
-Hydro Pump missing, letting rotom-H live.
I got 2-3 low quality opponents during the midday though, but the overall experience was pretty cool. (the guy running DV smeargle was the one running M-Become Death)
