Next main series games?

So, there's usually a new main series game every year. When can we start expecting news for the XY sequels?

The last few series have been released in October of their respective years.

I'm guessing they will release a few weeks, maybe a month after the Bank-Celebi distribution ends, which would be October, or late September. If they decide to do sequels or Hoenn remakes like some people expect instead of a third version like they did for gens I-IV, it might take a few more months, maybe 1st quarter 2015.

As for the news about them being started or what they'll be about, who knows. Probably three months after the games are released.

Well they announced XY in January of last year, not sure when BW2 or BW were actually announced.

I'm just wondering if we should be expecting news in the next few months?

I personally hope they confirm Hoenn though

I actually don't think so...
At the very least we'll get a new game for WiiFail though, or maybe possibly a spinoff for 3DS
We're due for another side game
