For some reason I'm enjoying them so much more than normal battles lately.
What the best strategy you've seen in a double battle?

I know but I been testing it to work on it and I found having Cofagrius hold red card can work in my favor also

Depends. I've run scarfed SA Salamance to kill Garchomp and other threats before. Banded Talonflames with U-turn are rare, but scary. Also, every now and then I seem to face against a lens Rotom-W that either Volt Switches or Tricks the lens away.

I'm pretty sure that Meowstic is one of the only Pokemon I've seen block Fake Out with quick guard.

That's why lately I've stopped using those kinds of Pranksters. Lately I've been getting some luck with a Prankster Murkrow with Taunt, Protect, Tailwind, and Foul Play. Taunt is the only move that quick guard can prevent, and Foul Play is pretty big threat to Meowstic.

a strategy that i've found pretty good and has worked well for me is kill the pranster last, focus on the other team members, and when the prankster is alone it cant do shit, usually they forfeit

That's basically my strategy against Sableye, especially with Recover it's usually not worth engaging unless I can OHKO. With others it mostly just depends on what is currently a threat/what I know I can wall.

Probably not. Electivire doesn't hit hard enough.

I suppose Lantern might be entertaining if you hit Something with Soak turn 1 then an Ion Deluged Explosion Turn 2.

Why not just stick Ally Switch on Cofagrigus? It has priority and fucks up your opponent if they don't pack a good spread attack which are weak anyway.

Can't see it working unless teamed up a tank/powerhouse like Tyranitar or similar. Magic Bounce works for all your Pokemon in doubles so there isn't a need to switch in. Only use for Ally Switch is to stop Xatu getting molested.

Actually on second thought best way of looking at it is looking at Xatu....it's partner has to resist Ghost, Dark, Electric, Ice, Rock or at least needs to be able to mitigate all of them.

On the other hand you have some wiggle room in that Xatu covers Fighting and Ground at least.

You'd also need to make sure that whatever you use at least resists or can handle at least one element of the big common spread moves. So Fire or Water since you can't do much about Ground.

T-tar is actually looking pretty good.
