RNGer here, the charm is guaranteed to work for gen 5. The shiny frames get "pulled" closer to the top (the frames that start when the game is on) when shiny charm is selected. International breeding has the same thing. Except the shiny frames are bunched together, with shiny charm this bunch is pulled upward, but NOT all the time. Sometimes it just won't work on seeds so it should be working like gen 5, you're just unlucky. probably.sorry for being a nerd

I already have 4 shinies caught by myself. One of them is masuda. Even more - i had 2 other masudas but was reseting my 3DS because didn't liked missing 1 IV and gender.
It literally was taking ONE night to MM-get while watching Kill Bill.

I just got my shiny charm two days ago and I've started on my first MM project, pic related. I want one so bad. I'm hatching box 9 right now, still just as excited as I was when I started the project so that right after I got the charm, so that's good. I'm worried that it won't have 31/xx/31/xx/31/xx, though.
