How do you guys go about getting your shinies? Chaining? Trading legendaries? I just traded a 1IV Raikou for a shiny Horsea. No regrets.

Go to the Friend Safari when you're watching tv or something and just bike and run until you find something. Got at least 15 shinies that way. MM'd 2. And the others were through trades, GTS, and horde battles while I was EV training.

I got most of my shinies in distributions, namely the legendary dog trio and legendary creation trio.

The only two I caught in game were Gyarados (like everyone else) and a Medicham (purely at random)

Seriously, how the fuck do people have so many? I've been playing since RBY and the only one I've ever encountered was one bastard Rattata in Soul Silver. Before you get pokéballs.

I can't be the only one who refuses to trade/chain/clone. I'm currently trying to hatch a shiny Sneasel using the Masuda Method - 500 eggs in and I'm losing my marbles. What coping mechanisms do you seasoned shiny vets use to maintain your sanity? Besides autism ofc.
