Okay, look. This is pretty lacking. For all the new features, and graphics and fun distractions, overall this isn't a good Pokemon game to me. The series constantly gets flak for its sub-par storylines but to be honest, those storylines give me a motivation to finish the game. I know that may just be personally, though. With that being said, I feel as though the story of and X and Y are abysmal, and I'm lacking the motivation to finish it. I used to be a detractor of those who apparently "Couldn't get past route 1 baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaw" when talking about Pokemon Black and White and now I feel a little conflicted. I'm way past Route 1 in X/Y, I just don't have any motivation to reach a conclusion. It may sound like bias, but I honestly, genuinely believe Black and White had a much better story than X and Y. Maybe the lack of Pokemon variety until post game contributed to people not having any incentive to finish though.

But, for me its the story. I like to feel immersed and yes, I can do that with Pokemon games too. But getting immersed in something bad is difficult, does anyone else feel the same?
