If you're kinda good on genetics, I send you off to be with other trainers. Maybe they'll battle and take care of you, or maybe you'll get to have tons of sex to make them super strong babies.
If you're really just bad on genetics, I set you free into the wild. Preferably near the starting routes, so you don't get absolutely raped/eaten/raped and eaten.

So... worst case scenario for each... you're actually too good, and become a permanent battle machine
You get on a wonder trade ride that may never end
Or you wind up being sent into the wild to get completely mauled by a Pokemon that just wandered out of Victory Road. (you are a baby Poke)
