What are some favourite tactics you guys have for doublas batteru under VGC rules?
Keep in mind the Pokemon have to be in the Kalos Dex.

It seems like it would do a great deal of damage coming from base 125 attack and hitting twice as well. Also maybe have someone with aromatherapy or something similar to protect mega mom from burn.

Best mega kanga counter? I'm going to a vgc comp this weekend (I think OP is going to the same one, given the timing) and I'm not sure what I have which can deal with kanga well. I was thinking bringing worry seed gourgeist-s to get rid of it's ability, or maybe even a prankster sableye.

Yeah I was there. It's a great venue but the layout is a bit cramped when you get 100+ people in there.

ferrothorn paired with an intimidator is a good lead, like gyarados. ferrothorn can double up on leech seeds, and VGC seems to love physical attackers. Immune to spores and dissuades fake outs, and the common meowstick pranksters can only hope to paralyze him which helps him avoid burns later.

The majority of regulars that are upstairs play/talk about the game as well as the guys that work there.
There's also Pokemelbourne, the group that are running this tourney. They use a lot of facebook faggotry like you mentioned but it's mostly just "hey check out my new shiny woo" or talking about news.

I generally assume that anything Smogon bans but isn't banned in VGC is something that probably should be done in VGC because Nintendo has decided it's not broken enough to ban in their events, and their rules take precedence over Smogon.

Honestly I'd love to see some other Smogon-baned tactic (evasion, an OHKO move) be the key thing to take someone to a World Championship just because of how much this seems to piss off Smogonites.
