I fucking love sableye, and I think this gen was really kind to it. Will o wisp got a buff, and knock off does 65 damage now, knocks off items, and does a bonus 30 damage if you successfully knock off an item. It also has fake out, fantastic for setting up, and recover, for stalling out burns. It really is like a handy swiss army knife.

The one thing I want him to get is Parting Shot. Imagine Taunting your opponent and then priority-switching while your opponent is at -1 Atk/S.Atk.

Hopefully in the future it stops being a signature move so he can get it.

Foul Play doesn't even use the user's attack stat. Only the opponets. It does get STAB though.

Sableye is ridiculous and people don't expect it because it's so rare compared to Klefki, its bulk with 252 HP/SpDef and a burn on the enemy are ridiculous, especially paired with Recover

it doesn't need attack stats, it doesn't need speed. the extra bulk makes it so you don't get hit so hard. in the second vid i posted, mine survived a flare blitz with about 10 HP. it helps against fire types that wont burn, and special attackers, too.

It depends on what Sableye you're using. A foul play Sableye would run Swagger, recover and thunder wave/taunt, because burn makes foul play useless.

On that line of thought, which version is better? I'd love to capitalize on stab foul play, but Will-O-Wisp just shatters so many mons and tricking an iron ball onto something does thunder wave's job.

I also have about 12 Calm 3-5IV Prankster Sableyes WITH RECOVER sitting around in my box. I'll give most of them away for shitmons but I'm particularly looking for a Kangaskhan(literally any nature, any IVs, any ability etc) or a Pinsir(again, ANY pinsir) and some Pinsirite. Foul Play, for all intents and purpose, "steals" the opponent's base attack stat, EVs, boosts and IVs, and gives them to the user of Foul Play.
That means that burns do NOT affect the power of Foul Play, unless the Sableye itself is burned.
