So this Saturday Game is hosting a Pokemon tournament, the rules are you are only allowed to battle with 3 pokemon, you can have 6 in your party but can only select 3, also you'r not allowed to use items, or held items/berries. And legionaries are banned.

I've never been in a Pokemon tournament or got much experience in PvP so what 3 pokemon should I be using for this?

Choose OU the team if you want to win.

I recommend Garchomp because of singles.

Yea because OU means anything when it's 3v3 NO ITEMS and "Legends" banned.

Having no items ruins so many potential sets. I don't know what they were thinking when they made that rule, because GF only bans like 2 items in official tournaments.

So with most strats out of the window it seems it's whoever has the better pokemon wins right?

So far 1 person has recommended a Garchomp, any other suggestions?

I was thinknig Blissey to Tank and Thunder Wave them.

Sableye is a good choice for this tournament then. With access to Recover and wisp, it is sure to do some mischief. You could even give it Metal Burst just for the hell of it.

Other than that, Trevenant is pretty good too, with Phantom Force, Leech Seed and Natural Cure being a thing it can all utilize at once.

I can understand that to a degree, but if it's a TPCi-sanctioned tournament then they might be in a bit of trouble.
