Holy fuck, we're two days away from XY Prereleases! Why don't we have one up?>Regionals are over, the next sanctioned events are XY prereleases this week and next and States Championships in March. >The next set, XY, is set to be released on February 5th. The theme decks, like BLW's, are based off of the box legendaries. XY will also have a 2-Player Trainer Kit (released on the same day) featuring Sylveon and Noivern. >XY value products include a 1-pack blister (featuring a DV Salamence reprint and a Zoroark coin), 3-pack blister (To be released on Feb. 19th and will include 3 XY packs and a Xerneas/Yveltal pin, international versions will include the previously mentioned Salamence reprint or a Gyarados DRX reprint instead of the pin.) >XY Elite Trainer Boxes have been confirmed for a Feb. 5th release. The two ETBs will feature the box legends (with each ETB focusing one legend) and include 8 XY packs, 6 damage counter dice (blue in the Xerneas ETB, red in Yveltal ETB), 1 tournament-legal flip die (will be frosted instead of clear like the previous flip dice), 2 acrylic status markers, 65 card sleeves, 5 Energy cards of each type (including the new Fairy-type), 4 dividers, and a player's guide.

Amazingly Finland actually has a real pre-release, usually we just get "release celebrations" (it's like a pre-release, but after release). I'd have to go to Helsinki for it though, so that'd be 60 euros in train tickets on top of the tournament fee.

>>17591485 Going to two PRs this weekend with my girlfriend so we'll have a playset of Aegislash before the set even lands, which is awesome as I'm building that deck.
Also my TO application came through approved recently so on the 5th I'm hosting my first tournament! Way excited for it, loads of people have said they'll turn up for it!

>Thread is on page 7. Come on, folks, prereleases are tomorrow!
But then again, we don't have a lot of English scans...
>>17608321 >I'm looking forward to becoming the king of fairies. I'm hoping that deck sees some use, even more so when the Xerneas/Yveltal tins com out in March.

>>17611872 Hey binder guy, you always have the knowledge on the pokémon TCG. I was wondering if you had images of what the actual tins will look like? I really like the tins them selves and I'm hoping the 2 new ones will look just as good.

>>17612103 That I do, here's what they're going to look like.
As to which packs they'll contain, it'll probably be 2 XY, 1 LT, and one Plasma series.
We're also getting a value box featuring a promo non-EX Xerneas/Yveltal.

Why must cards be so damn expensive. I promised myself I would start collecting them again as of X/Y, but god damn do they go for a hefty penny.

>>17608321 >>17611872 I'm quite excited for Xerneas. Coming from Blastoise, it's much less clunkier, quicker (to some extent), and I'm glad to see it can account for a great deal of things like EX-walls, Garbodor, Latias-EX. Throw in a reliable fire type for the steel vulnerability and it'll at least hold itself up against all the major decks out there.
Binder Guy !!GyXpj9Zujh5
>>17613944 >I'm quite excited for Xerneas. I am to a certain degree, but the two Benched Pokemon bit sort of makes it iffy.
And sure, we can run Aromatisse for Fairy Energy manipulation but then the Garbodor problem arises...
>Throw in a reliable fire type for the steel vulnerability and it'll at least hold itself up against all the major decks out there. >Reliable fire type for the steel vulnerability. >Reliable fire type And we safely add Reshiram's to another deck's list of decent techs.

OK, Maybe they have some form of artwork like BLW's basic Energy...>They don't. >mfw Oh, now the folks at TPCi are just being a bunch of lazy shits.

>>17623386 Wow, that's really lazy even for TPCi.

>Checking TnT's XY preorder prices because eBay doesn't have any "in-hand" XY card lots yet. >Reg. Art Yveltal EX: $21.99 >Reg. Art Xerneas EX: $12.99 >Both Mega EXs: $9.99 per single. >Blastoise EX and Venusaur EX: $8.99 per single. >Skarmory EX and Emolga EX: $5.99 per single. >Red Card: $0.99 >Muscle Band: $1.49 >Holo rares: $0.99-$3.79 per single depending on the card. Man... I know to too early to tell, but I'm worried about XY's resale value.
>>17624643 To be somewhat fair, X Collection and Y Collection didn't have Basic Energy reprints to localize.
