Hypothetically speaking, what if these gems were never made?

or

What if they were made but either not brought to America or Nintendo allowed the US to change monster designs for the American audience?

What are your opinions on the matter /vp/?

Perhaps I should have just posted this somewhere else since these games get so much flak from hardcore pokemon fans.

Not even trying to genwun here as I am rather curious of what could have been. Since these games were so huge back in the late 90's.

Option B, mostly the same but everything looks angry. Jynx either becomes white, or somehow ends up more stereotypical.

Oh, wait, I think I might have misunderstood your question.

For Scenario 1, Are you asking what if Pokemon never existed, or if it was just Red and Blue that never existed, meaning the series would have started with gen 2 being gen 1?

Somehow I doubt it. Nintendo marketed this whole franchise intelligently. I doubt digimon would have took off as big.

I liked it back then but never cared much for the games so never owned a single game except for the digimon temugachi (however its spelled) and liked the cartoon.

You are right. It was fun but had no where near the potential pokemon had/has.
