So, it is not its concept that people hate, but how it is done.
That thing in the pic is nothing special after all, but it is nicely done. Quite generic, but at least it doesn't look like an idiot, with stupid feets/ears/red-blue things.
Ask GameFreak to design that traffic cone pokèmon.
They would create a black slime with a HUGE smile on the red light and some stupid eyes on the traffic cone. As it evolves it become even more stupid (like vanilluxe). And here you go, a ruined shit.
