A little over 2400 Poochy eggs now. I'm still really optimistic; even without Flame Body, they still hatch fairly quickly, and I'm pumped to see what a shiny looks like in Colo/XD.

Also, has anyone else maxed out their playtime mostly by breeding yet? I feel kinda lame having max time over 1 shiny.

it's like when I plant rarer berries like Liechi but don't bother using Mulch, but I do bother weeding and watering it a few times. Then three days later, I get a glorious return of 1 berry from the fully grown tree. Thanks gamefreak!

If you can work your way up the mutation chain to Kee and Maranga, Amaze Mulch is a godsend. I've never gotten less than 8 berries from anything with it (Starf Berry notwithstanding) even if I forget to water or weed for an hour or two. I have 150+ of every pinch berry at this point. Shit's pretty cash.

I've never actually gotten a shiny in Gen III and I don't have Emerald version (Flame Body) along with the fact that I only got Y recently and don't have any good IV Pokés bar a Ditto I transferred and a Buizel (same region so MM doesn't work), so Sapphire seems like the only option I can perform so far.

I'm interested in cmpleting the dex to get the shiny char, but my problem isn't really the legendaries, it's really all those fucking pokemon I would never go out of my way to capture. I'm talking about...probopass, or bullshit cats, or fucking pachirisu. Those are just off the top of the head. I think it's even worse that some pokemon that I have missing are evolved forms of pokemon I don't care cause I'll never get to capture it AND care about it enough to make it evolve.

I'm hoping to get a bluish Numel which hopefully will inherit its mom's 0 IVs in Speed and 31 in the rest except Attack. That badass Camerupt will wreck shit in Trick Room.

Here's a cool fact: Female Numel have a bigger hump than male ones. I totally missed that until now, I'm 20 boxes in.

I've been catching and breeding and/or evolving everything I can for the dex and trading for what else I need.. right now I've been using a lilipup/audino/chansey friend safari for exp grinding, running from the lilipups, using Thief to 1hko chansey, and air slash for audino, it works pretty well. I have like 20 lucky punches and 6 lucky eggs now though.
