I understand that they're trying to make it so you get better at breeding as the game progresses by limiting certain tools til the endgame but holy fuck you're right.
You don't have to put them at the other end of a region to reserve them for endgame.

The fact that the whole game feels like an extended demo. I keep fighting Olympia in the Battle Chateau, and I'm now convinced that the "winged Pokemon" that she babbles about after you kick her ass is yet another new Pokemon from Strange Souvenir guy's region. This in addition to the whole moves thing (obvious delay of tutors until the next gen VI+ game, obvious delay of decent egg moves for any 6th gen Pokemon for a similar timeframe, etc), plus the seemingly low number of new Pokemon introduced. Seriously, those ones where the Pokemon dive out of the sky/from the cave ceiling are annoying.

Also, and I know I'm anal about this, GF needs to check on their text about these situations. Really weird when you're in a cave and Graveler drops from the ceiling with the text saying "Wild Graveler swooped down from the ceiling!"

I'm okay with mega evolutions and Castform's weather gimmick, but what's the point of Pokemon like Cherrim having a different form instead of being separate Pokemon? Especially with Pokemon that have forms with different types.

They're clearly making fun of the fact that the broken bridges in video games are rarely logical despite being necessary. Hence "for no reason". There's no reason for a bunch of people to dance in someone's way from a story standpoint, but from a gameplay standpoint they need to prevent you from going places you're not supposed to go yet.

When you catch the main legendary it asks if you want to transfer a Pokemon to the box so you can keep it in your party, so it’s consistent in-game that we should be able to do the same for regular pokemon.

Besides the stats, a few other things use them.
Like HPs and how much damage you take when you hit yourself in confusion.

You'd need to change that before you can even think about removing them.

Well I did another thread for this, but I'm just gonna leave it here, then:

Only if you actually want HP. Not all Pokémon use it. Adding another parameter would make it significantly easier to get the right one, I have no fucking clue what you're talking about. Plus that way you can have whatever IVs you want and still run HP.

That's assuming you care about IVs, though, which even though you don't, many others obviously do.

Wonder Trade is singlehandedly the most addicting yet infuriating feature in X/Y.
I really wish there was an options to either only get a pokemon the same level as the one you are trading or to just filter out level 1s. That way I can enjoy my pokesuprise without getting a goddamn level 1 breeding reject Froakie 7/10 times.

Agreed. I've toyed with the idea of "classes" of Pokémon. Not sure how to go about that, though. Just some basics like legendaries only receiving legendaries, early route trash only receiving early route trash, etc.
