For the fourth time in a row, the almighty Masuda-sama has been very kind to me. The only downside is that it inherited the wrong attack IV, but I won't be picky about it.

I think a Fairy-type might've been good in this particular match, seeing as how the other guy used Dragon-types. Maybe MM a Fairy-type next? Unburden Slurpuff with Weakness Policy wrecks shit. I can understand wanting the Burn that Scald brings, but Hydro Pump tends to be better on glass cannons like Greninja (Scald is reserved for bulkier Water-types). Zoroark did very nicely towards the end there (and I love the nickname, very clever).

Yeah, Fairy might be a good choice. My Gengar does know Dazzling Gleam, but I didn't want to bring her out too soon.. I definitely need another bulky mon on my team, Meowstic is the only one with any investments in defensive EVs.

Yeah, I've recently been prepping more and more bulky Pokémon, like Porygon2 with Eviolite, Bulky Rapid Spinner M-Blastoise, Toxic Heal Gliscor, Trevenant, Jellicent, Unaware Quagsire and even Roserade. Sabeleye works really well as a Prankster mon, mainly because it gets recover as an Egg Move and has only one weakness. Another tip would be to use something that puts up entry hazards. Talonflame is pretty common, and it'd be disappointing to put all that work into a team just to be swept by priority Brave Bird. Stealth Rocks are available through Tyranitar, Mamoswine and Carbink, I personally prefer the latter two because one has Ice Shard and STAB Earthquake whilst the other one can use Dual Screens. Spikes and Toxic Spikes can be found on things like Roserade, Tenatcruel, etc. The good thing about Tentacruel is that it can also use Rapid Spin to remove any hazards on your side.

Sorry if I'm writing too much. I reckon after a bit more practice you'll be a real Pokémon Master

Prankster Sableye with Recover sounds terrifying, it's also on my MM list, I'll go for it sometime I'm feeling brave. I really like Gliscor too, and from what I hear it's an absolute bastard to knock out.
Something with entry hazards is also on my list, but for now I'm trying to get used to Meowstic, seeing as from I was 11 up until a month ago I'd just spam whatever was super effective (who the hell has room for status moves, you know?)

Aye, Goldeneye is gonna be a bitch taking HA into account, but it'll be worth it in the end. Gliscor can be pretty difficult, especially once it gets behind a Sub. Luckily Noivern with Infiltrator and Choice Specs can get past it and hit that weak Sp.Def. Shell Smash Cloyster also puts a dent into it, but that's only if Gliscor doesn't Taunt you first. I've heard a lot of good about M-Venusaur, too. How does Prankster Yawn play out with Meowstic, btw?

Shin Megami Tensei is a long-running JRPG which is pretty big in Japan - the more popular offshoot Persona (mostly Persona 3 and Persona 4) you might've heard of. Anyway, SMT is the mainline series and SMTIII (otherwise known as Nocturne) is pretty much the most perfect JRPG ever made nope, not arguing about this. Anyways, Atlus decided to put SMTIV on 1) a fucking handheld and 2) a fucking region locked handheld. Atlus has no offices in Europe, so every European was more or less shat on from a great height at once. Nintendo said they were publishing it here, but >Nintendo keeping promises. Hence the Euro-rage.

This is actually semi Pokemon related, as SMT was one of the first games to come up with a monster catching mechanic. Pokemon is at least partly inspired by it.

If it's Gustavo you're referring to, I think he actually did get his Prankster shiny eventually. I would've though Yawn would be better than T-Wave, as it froces set-up sweepers to either switch out or become Sleep fodder. Then again, you should stick to whichever one works best for you.

I would. Chargers aren't a problem (I use a DSi one) and the eShop is much cheaper (compared to the £ anyway). Getting US eShop cards is easy stuff too.

Anyway, I am tempted by Slurpuff. I am making a 3-Fairy team for a little competition I'm having with friends, where we each have only 2 types on our teams (kinda like if we were Gym Leaders, that sort of thing). Hmm, this is a problem. Import taxes have shot up here as well, I had to pay £28 for my 3DS (not including shipping, this was just so I could pick it up). Sellers don't like to mark them "gift" anymore, not sure why.

If you could offer a 5IV Japanese parent, that would be fantastic! I have a male 5IV Swirlix with Belly Drum already, but it doesn't have Unburden. If you could get me a female Swirlix w/Unburden (don't worry about egg moves) in a pretty Pokeball, that would be fantastic.

For what it's worth, SMTIV was worth the import (for me, at least). Huge demon compendium, lots of choice, your typical Law/Chaos stuff which I missed in Nocturne and a bastard hard Neutral route I'm going to go for next playthrough. I highly recommend it.

Yes. Usually they keep the same color scheme as their Shiny but a few of them are unique.

So here's what's going on with me:

I have a copy of Pokemon Emerald, along with an old Action Replay my friend gave to me a long time ago. I also have all the things required to transfer anything I catch from Emerald, ALL THE WAY to Pokemon Black 2 and White 2.

If I use the Action Replay, to force the game to give me nothing but a Shiny Pokemon EVERY TIME I encounter one. I SHOULD be able to transfer them to X and Y once Prease Underastandu comes out right?

I'm not messing with ANY of the STATS, just whether or not they are shiny.

Man, imagine if the calculation for making Pokemon shiny in X and Y was still IV based like it was in Gold and Silver. As soon as you find a shiny, you could slap a destiny knot on it, throw it in the daycare, and get a shiny from every fifth egg or so.

Gender was also determined by IV in gen 2, in such a way that female pokemon of species that weren't all-female couldn't have a perfect Attack IV
