Genesect is definitely staying. It has suffered a net loss in resistances and gained no meaningful movepool buffs as power creep occurs around it. If not running Extremespeed, it's also vulnerable to the priority flying around everywhere.

Shift gear and the technoblast buff have been decent for it. Apparently it's other sets that might get Genesect banned, in the same way that M-Lucario is such a problem because of it's mixed offensive stats.

Because unlike Physical, a burn won't stop it. It also can use Shadow Ball to give it perfect coverage, and has access to special priority as well. It can 2HKO eviolite Chansey with Aura Sphere. Adaptability is basically a free life orb boost.

You're missing the point, Scarf is of course the easiest set to pull off and still arguably the best. All I said was Technoblast was seeing more use because everyone is expecting the scarf set. Aka People are experimenting. It even does okay when using a mixed shift gear set (event Genesect is locked into Hasty nature so it's not as absurd as you would think) as it bypasses the speed problem while technoblast takes care of something that would otherwise wall you.
