>>17661109It kills Mega Venusaur and really didn't lose much from the addition of Fairy-types, given that it really doesn't need to run a Dragon STAB. It also has several viable sets and is surprisingly hard to kill.
Personally, I feel that it was dropped to OU prematurely in Gen V, and may well find itself on the suspect list within the next 18 months. Severely underestimated, severely underutilized, severely underappreciated. Running Black Kyurem in OU is like having a second Mega on your team.
>>17661113The only 'mons that are eligible for a ranking are the ones that have been chosen for an OU analysis over at the QC forum. The blacklisted Pokemon have been rejected for OU analyses and are thus ineligible, yet people kept bringing them up.
>>17662280>what is switching to Rotom-WNote that Talonflame dislikes switching into even an uninvested Sludge Bomb, and Greninja can't come in on Giga Drain.
Just for shits, I decided to run MegaVenu/Rotom-H/CB Scizor in the Maison. I was doing pretty well until Rock Head Tyrantrum decided to end my streak.>>17663245Choice Band or Life Orb... That said, max defense MegaSaur will always survive CB Talonflame's Brave Bird without prior damage:
252+ Atk Choice Band Talonflame Brave Bird vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mega Venusaur: 294-348 (80.7 - 95.6%) -- 50% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
If Mega Venu was at full health and used Sludge Bomb as Talonflame switched in, it wins:
0 SpA Mega Venusaur Sludge Bomb vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Talonflame: 156-184 (43.3 - 51.1%) -- 5.1% chance to 2HKO
Remember, one hit comes as Talonflame switches in, plus another hit after Talonflame attacks, plus Brave Bird recoil.
