The Shiny Charm isn't worth it, either. Oh, now I can do more pointless catching for a rare palette swap, is only useful as currency for getting other pokes online. Since their value has vastly diminished, that may not even be plausible now. The only acceptable reason for doing this is that you don't have/want to trade other legends for rare legends. All other pokes can be traded pretty fairly using less irksome means. There's a shiny you just happen to like? Masuda method that junk like everyone else. You don't need every single pokemon. It's not even something that takes a lot of skill to do. I know how to into online, that's all it is now. It might've been something to brag about before gen 4, since you had to do that junk in person. (although you could bypass it by having more than one game of the gen) Now it's just meaningless.
