Holy fuck I thought you were kidding. Then again, I guess ants wouldn't exactly have the most foresight into type matchups, but still.

The best part is I want to believe it was a mistake because it hasn't been mentioned since the Black 1 Pokedex entry.

I think the durants developed the steel type with the years, and then heatmor turned into a fire type to counter that.

However if it is competitively speaking then Kyogre is usually speed invested while Groudon is not, so Kyogre will win, it comes down to whoever outspeeds the other wins.
If it's choice specs Kyogre then this isn't even worth discussing

But anon, if Kyogre is faster (which is usually is), it gets the next hit and takes it out regardless of weather.
It would go something like this:
Turn 1:
Anon sent out Kyogre!
Anon sent out Groudon!
The sunlight turned harsh!
Kyogre uses Water Spout! (does around 73-86%)
Groudon used Earthquake! (does around 64-75%)
Turn 2 : Kyogre outspeeds and takes it out.
