I'm not a fan of Lucario, but I couldn't just leave it there. Did anyone else just take it out of guilt, or did you actually want it?

Mixed attackers are sooooooo annoying to breed imo. I actually have to make a 6IV pokémon instead of being lazy and doing 5IV for Sp.Atk or Atk (depending on Pokémon). They are very VERY worth it however.

Remember, the chances of producing a 6IV pokemon are significantly better breeding two 5IV Pokemon whose missing IVs are different.

The only way two 5IV Pokemon with the same spread will generate a 6IV is if the Destiny Knot chooses the missing IV to skip and generates a natural 31. So, that's 1/6 x 1/32, or 1/192. Any of the other 5/6 times, it will pick one of their bad IVs and ruin the baby.

If both parents are missing different IVs, it means that it still has a 1/2 chance of picking the IV the one parent has that the other is missing. So, 1/6 becomes 1/3. 1/3 x 1/31 is much better odds.

You're missing something here. The Destiny Knot only passes down 5 IVs. So, say it chooses HP/ATK/DEF/X/SpD/SPE

The child will have 31/x/31/x/31/31, and 1/32 times it will be 31/x/31/31/31/31. That's not Hex flawless. Five of every six children will inherit the shitty Attack from one of the parents.

i don't think that's correct either though. When I breed two 31/xx/31/31/31/31 parents together, I get a 4iv child approximately 80-90% of the time, and a 5iv child the remaining 10-20%. Since it's not 5iv every time, that means it's not definitely a 1/32 chance, doesn't it?

Dude, most of my breeding stuff lasts only about 30 eggs. My first lasted 40, my second lasted 25 eggs and the one I'm doing now I'm predicting 20 eggs at least. I'm practically done at 15 eggs now and I'm just trying to get 5IV Mold Breaker not Hyper Cutter.

Wouldn't the odds be better to use the time-machine method, put a power item on one mon for the IV that doesn't transfer, the destiny knot on the other, and chance the 1/25 odds of the nature you want?

lucarios my favourite pokemon so i caught a riolu and went shit really they just give me one so i had 2 in my 1st team

i just had to accept
