>>17688218It's not insanely fast, especially for this gen, and to not get rekt it needs the choice scarf so it can't even sweep teams that aren't weak to the same move. It's countered also by Charizard X, who resist anything that genesect can do and Charizard Y, who is fast enough to destroy non scarfed sets and has enough special defense to withstand a thunderbolt and ohko. There's also heatran, who resists every move Genesect has and ohkos it easily.
Oh and don't forget that knock off got a buff and it's really popular in the OU tier, so Genesect could and will lose his scarf often, and that means that everything 99+ speed fully invested will kill it with any fire move or even stab.
And don't forget that with all the specially defensive pokemons and assault vest download is going to screw you half of the time with the wrong boost.
And if you run the physical version, you'll be absolutely rekt by any physical move because of the hasty nature.
