the refrigerator pokemon having refrigerate doesn't make sense to you? Plus Aerilate would do more for Fan rotom than LEVITATE. I'm not saying retcon the abilities, but if they ever release a HA rotom, the alt-forms should also change abilities.

It works on switch-ins. So Starmie scares off the opponent and they switch to something that can handle Starmie, but Starmie gets the boost from Analytic.

And that ice move is Blizzard

It would really, really like the non-situational STAB boltbeam coverage. Fantom wouldn't mind some extra power above air slash too.

Hell, Rotom Heat and Mow wouldn't mind not having their second STAB always make them cut their attack stat in half too.

Storm Drain would make sense for W as well, not that it matters because Levitate on Water/Electric is one of the best defensive typings around.
Speed Boost on fan makes no sense.
Lawnmower should have something that makes it good at stopping Grass types.

I really don't understand why Magma Armor is really necessary, Freezing is really not too common to worry about and the only three Pokemon that get it aren't even weak to ice.
There's always the egg thing but Flame Body does the same thing and more Pokemon have that one anyway.

The only Rotom-F sets in Showdown Random Battle are Air Balloon. It's a joke.

Sometimes you end up with a useless Resto Chesto that has the Chesto overridden by the Balloon.

Most pointless ability? That has to go to none other than this guy.

It's one thing to give a negative ability, it's entirely another to give it to one that doesn't have the stats to justify a negative ability. He's already a glass cannon, you didn't have to give him an ability that makes the 'cannon' part useless.

I missed generation 5 and am yet to use this guy in gen 6, just looked him up on Serebii. Which bastard at Game Freak decided to give him that ability? It's not even like he has that move which swaps attack/spattack with the target.

It was probably all so that they would have the stat budget (why they couldn't have made both fossils have ~550-575 BST for this generation is beyond me) for the gimmick. Where he has 567 BST, is the 567th pokemon in the national index and the dewey decimal system would have you look at 567.9 to find info on archeopteryx.

He's only balanced if you count in his ability though: Archeops has an INSANE stat line, makes him an amazing sweeper... and if you team him with a pokemon who can change abilities (like cophagrius, or anyone with simple beam) he can wreck all through his health bar.

Also the change in Lightning Rod's function. Every Pokemon that had it in the first place have shitty special attack.

basically useless, (unless Rock 'n' Steel types got some kind of buff from being heavier/lighter, like decreasing chances to receive critical hit if heavier and slightly more evasive is lighter)

There's actually one viable (but very gimmicky) Rotom-Fan set that needs Levitate.

Rotom-Fan @ Ring Target
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 SAtk / 252 HP / 252 Def
Bold Nature
- Air Slash
- Thunder Wave
- Trick
- Hidden Power [Ground] / Will-O-Wisp / Volt Switch / Thunderbolt

Ring Target takes away type-based immunities, so Electric attacks will work on Ground types, or Ground-type attacks will work on Flying types.

However, it doesn't work on Levivate, so unlike every other Flying type, Rotom-Fan keeps its Ground immunity while holding it. Trick it on an incoming Ground-type, paralyze it with Thunder Wave and paraflinch it to death with Air Slash.
