I just received yet another Klefki via Wonder Trade.

Wait a minute. Right next to his types, it's written "POKERUS"

A quick search told me what it was. So, Poke Virus, heh? For now, it's in the PC.
So, what should I do with it?

For the record, I just activated the Doomsday Device in the main game of POKÉ Y.

Legitimately: Pokerus doubles EV gain from fights... but it only lasts a few days...

So finish the game, pick out the pokemon you want to EV train, rub them on the infected pokemon, and take it out to find horde battles of the correct type. Lure hordes with sweet scent / honey, bash skulls in, earn fat stacks of EVs.

Oh, and be sure, before Pokerus disappears completely, to breed a carrier.. make sure he's infected... and send him off to another trainer via wonder trade.

They will also marvel at getting pokerus from a kind stranger.

It doesn't go away in a few days ya dingus.
It goes away in twenty four hours unless you box the pokemon, then it stays on forever until you take it out again, then you have another 24 hours.

Not that anon but yeah it can last a few days when you get your first infection. Hell it lasted over a week for me. Now anything in my party at midnight gets "cured" but that wasn't the case at first.

Basically spread it to some Pokemon you'll never use by going in and out of battle (don't even have to win, just run). Eventually it'll spread to the other Pokemon opposite the infected one. Then just stick them all in the PC and be done with it until you're doing the advanced shit.

Also keep in mind that a pokemon who has been cured continues to benefit from the EV boost and is simply not contagious any more. So there is no downside to letting mons get cured as long as you maintain a couple carriers in the bank.
