/vp/oreons prease help!
I want a duel type Ghost team which is pretty damn stupid, I know
I don't know how I should make it work
My idea is;
Gengar
Chandelure
Trevenant
Golurk
Sableye
Maybe Froslass?

Trevenant is my tank, it also likes to burn things.
Chandelure Is there for flamethrower STAB and Toxic (I might need to re think this)
Gengar is main special attacker with good coverage

I don't have Golurk, Sableye or Froslass(?) Yet, will this team have any potential? Which pokemon would you swap in?
I have a Sableye with prankster, wanting to try that out.

I guess I just want some good feedback from people who know what they are doing as opposed to autistic children and Mexicans
I can sort out IVs and stuff, and if you have any input for the EV split that would be great!

Only used Sableye so I can help with that, that's it though. Don't run Toxic on Chandelure either, he's not there for status, he's there to fuck shit up.

People will rage at this. Had so many quitters on Showdown with this it's funny. Burn is fun, black sludge adds to the damage and helps for those immune to burn. Confuse Ray fucks with the rest.

I like that you run Sableye, but I have a lot of criticism for your setup, m8.

Replace confuse ray with Taunt. Taunting set up or status based pokemon is key to the success of a Sableye. Also, HP is much more important that Defense for a bulky pokemon.

The investments should be 252 HP, 252 Sp. Def,
4 Spd, to taunt other pranksters. You do not want to lose the speed duel against another Sableye, ever.

I would also give him Leftovers and run Foul Play over Trick, since it uses the opponent's attack, is unaffected by burn, and makes Sableye hard to switch in to with Espeon, its otherwise perfect counter.

Speaking of burn, it's exactly why you don't invest in Defense. Will-O-wisp takes care of any physical threat and HP is overall better.

Why don't you use Jellicent, OP? It's a pretty good SpDef wall and has Storm Drain/Cursed Body, which is not too bad in my opinion.

Depends, but I forgot to mention Toxic on my post. Maybe keep it 1:1 for more utility? WoW on Phys and Toxic to cripple walls and SpAtkers.

I could do with jotting down some help with Trevenant, he's shiny and I really want to use him, only thing is he has really bad HP IVs, but 3 max IVs (I forget what)
I have Wow/Rest/Ingrain/Shadow claw at the moment, but I need to level him up for horn leech

Definitely go with Scald over hydro pump. That would allow you to run Toxic or Acid Armor alongside it while still getting that burn in pretty frequently. It's also more accurate and still has STAB.

Bro, you can get your Horn Leech on just by using the move relearner unless you caught him wild.

I am jelly of your white tree and I hope it does well despite its bad HP. Here's my advice:

If it wasn't obvious, your Trevenant should have Harvest. EV train him into max Hp and special defense. You could also split the EVs for special defense and add some of them into attack in order to maximize the reward from Horn Leech.

The moveset I prefer is Will-O-Wisp, Horn Leech, Leech Seed, and Protect.

This set is utilized by seeding the opponent, protecting, then wisping them and protecting again. The stacking damage from Will-O-Wisp and leech seed is devastating for any mon, and the healing effect of Leech Seed will keep you in the game. Every other turn should be spent protecting to capitalize on this.

Because of Harvest it should be holding a citrus berry. This is such an amazing ability I don't think I can hype it enough. On paper it has a 50 percent chance of working, but people always complain that it happens more than half the time. This is because Trevenant gets two chances at it per round, once at the end of its turn and once at the end of the opponents. The synergy between Harvest and Protect is the backbone of a successful Trevenant, as it allows you two free chances to recover your citrus berry and either heal/be prepared to heal with absolutely no risk at all, not to mention scouting for potential threats on the opposing mon. It played correctly, Trevenant has staying power that rivals even MegaSaur.

It's also worth noting on a non-ghost team that Harvest ALWAYS works in sunlight. He and Mega Charizard Y or Ninetails are the best of friends.

Nah, since, for example, Fire types can't be burned and steel/poison types can't be poisoned or pokemon that can heal statuses, making Hex situational than practical. With that in mind, you're better off using Shadow Ball.

I've been using him for a long time so I've had a long time to do trial and error experiments on him. Some people even like to use Curse and Substitute over WoW or Horn Leech so there's room for preference here.

He's got four moves that make him amazing:

king's shield is a protection effect that reduces enemy attack by one stage if they were going to attack.

Shadow sneak is a priority STAB.

And then you have the fighting-type Sword move for coverage.

and sword's dance for setup.

You always come in with an amazing defense / special defense.

you swords dance to setup, or king's shield to prevent the flame blitz and weaken attacker.

then, with priority, shadow sneak for massive damage, or, if order in which you go is not important, use sword to bash skull in.

many good results i've had against others. It is easy to train and love.
